ABOUT OUR SPORT/FABRIC ANTIODoRANT SPRAY
The vast majority of fabric odours are caused by bacteria, while some others are caused by fungus. As you may know, bacteria can be found just about anywhere in the home, from kitchen sponges, to mobile phones, money, and remote controls. They can also be found on our skin and in the fabrics we come in contact with.
What you may not know, however, is that these bacteria release thioalcohols. These organic compounds have a strong scent, similar to rotten eggs or garlic, and are responsible for unpleasant sweat odours.
Thioalcohols aren’t just produced by bacteria on our bodies, though. They can be produced anywhere bacteria grows— which is why our gym bags, carpets, furniture, and footwear become foul if left untreated over time.
We love this question, because the truth is that many products on the market today don’t actually get rid of odours— they mask them. Crisp, refreshing scents are added to these products to give the consumer a false sense of cleanliness, when in reality, this couldn’t be further from the truth.
The bacteria that’s actually causing the odour continues to exist, and in many cases begins to flourish even more, deep within fabrics and on surfaces throughout your home.
While other products mask odours with fragrances, ours prevents odour from developing in the first place by eliminating the source (bacteria).
Willow Sport/Fabric is formulated with a powerful surfactant which allows our product to sink deep within the fibres of cloth, linen, and other textile materials.
We also purify the water in our Sport/Fabric formula, completely eliminating all particulate matter, including microplastics, metals, salts, and you guessed it— bacteria.
This purification process results in a pristine final product that’s safe, sanitary, and super effective!
Our valued customers continue to come up with new and creative ways to utilize Willow Sport/Fabric, and we encourage them to continue experimenting!
